Delaware Valley Filmmaking Foundation forms to lure filmmakers to First State. First State filmmakers join efforts to try to raise money to increase productions in Delaware. About three years after a failed push in the Delaware Legislature to pass a bill to provide loans to attract filmmakers to Delaware, the state's film community is now trying to do it on its own.

The newly-formed Delaware Valley Filmmaking Foundation is looking to raise $500,000 with an eye of giving grants to films that bring its productions to Delaware, along with Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey – three states that already have incentives. About 45 states currently have some sort of incentive program.
